Polling places in all prisons for the voting in the early mayoral elections in Shtip and Plasnica opened on time Saturday and the process is carried out without any problems thus far, the State Election Commission (SEC) said.
On Saturday, 67 prison inmates from Shtip municipality and one from Plasnica municipality will exercise their right to vote until 7pm.
“On Saturday, election boards will carry out the voting process for the sick and the frail, and those in house arrest, who have registered with the municipal election commissions. A total of 142 voters, who have registered as homebound, of whom 66 in Shtip municipality and 76 in Plasnica municipality, will exercise their right to vote at home. The voting process on Saturday will also be carried out in a nursing home, where two people form the Shtip municipality will cast their vote,” the SEC said.
More information on Saturday’s voting process will be available after polling stations close.
