Chargé d’affairesof the Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia in Moscow, Olivera Chaushevska – Dimovska was invited today to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, where she was handed a note for declaring our diplomat – Second Secretary as persona non grata, informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The decision of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for expelling the diplomat who was recently delegated to the Russian Federation is a retaliatory political decision without any grounds. For the previous expelling of the Russian diplomat from North Macedonia, recorded evidence was submitted for his activities in violation to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. Hence, today’s move by the Russian side is completely ungrounded and will negatively reflect on the attempts for promoting the relations between the two countries.
In the Embassy in Moscow, the acting officer remains to perform his duties, and soon a new Ambassador will be sent soon accredited to the Russian Federation, who has passed all the steps for referral.
