“Добро утро Скопје! Good to be back in challenging, frustrating times for the Macedonians. But you’ll never walk alone… Hope is key!” wrote Michael Roth, Chairman of the Bundestag Committee on Foreign Affairs, in a Twitter post ahead of his official visit to North Macedonia, transmits MIA.
“And by the way: Macedonian is a language in a Europe of cultural diversity!” he noted in his tweet. As part of his visit, Roth is meeting with President Stevo Pendarovski as well as with Europe Minister Bojan Marichikj and with Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani.
Earlier this morning, the German top official met with Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi and Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs chair Antonijo Miloshoski. Prior to chairing the Bundestag Committee on Foreign Affairs, Roth was Germany’s Minister of State for Europe at the German Federal Foreign Office
