German Minister of State for Europe Michael Roth expressed on Wednesday support for North Macedonia’s and Albania’s EU membership, following his meeting with Greek Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, MIA reports from Athens.
“Both of us support Albania’s and North Macedonia’s EU membership path, set to make the European Union bigger and stronger,” Roth said after the meeting.
The German Minister also expressed support for the dialogue between Greece and Turkey, stressing the need for “constructive and mutually-beneficial relations between EU and Turkey.”
Varvitsiotis and Roth also talked about the EU Digital COVID Certificate, referring to it as a tool for safe travel in Europe.
