The MP from Besa, Kastriot Rexhepi, recently posted on his Facebook profile. He explained why he decided not to appear at today’s session at which a vote of no confidence in the Government should be taken, writes Sloboden Pecat.
“One of my biggest causes for my political entity to which I belong was the country’s integration into the EU. Having in mind the political momentum after the postponement of the resignation of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, in respect of the processes and strong signals from the strategic partners USA and EU with which I communicate through senior diplomats, that in December the country has a great chance to start membership negotiations with EU, I decided not to participate in the parliamentary session where it was to be decided to question my strategic national and state commitment. As a responsible politician and MP, I did not make this decision easily, putting the interest of the people and the state first. “The state in this important period does not need a political crisis and immersion in turbulent waters full of strangers,” Rexhepi wrote.
