From today’s events we outline: The electoral model ready for changes, empty promises and false hopes, inclusion between declarativeness and reality
NEWS OF THE DAY: REFORMS IN THE ELECTORAL SYSTEM MUST BE COMPREHENSIVE AND FAIR – ANNOUNCEMENT FOR CIVIL’S PRESS CONFERENCE
CIVIL invites the media to an outdoor press conference, tomorrow (Friday, July 19, 2019), starting at 12.30, in front of the office of the organization on Maksim Gorki Street 31/1, at the parking behind “Paleta”. As always, the event is open for all interested citizens.

How are smaller ethnic communities and vulnerable categories of citizens abused in the election processes? Should the electoral model be changed, how, and in which time framework? Does North Macedonia have the need of early elections? What should (not) happen with the Electoral Code, Voters Register, financing of the political campaigns?…
The electoral system has matured long ago for fundamental changes
Change in the electoral model, reforms in the State Election Commission, Electoral Code, election administration and Voters Register, are some of CIVIL’s key recommendations, an organization that has been monitoring the election processes in the country since 2008. An organization that implements all of its projects and activities related to the election processes from the position of defending the voting rights, with its starting point and principle being: THE state has the obligation to provide maximum conditionS FOR RESPECTING AND FULFILLING EVERY INDIVIDUAL’S VOTING RIGHT. by Biljana Jordanovska

For the most part, their voters are left with nothing, and with hope that something will change, until the next voting…By: Dehran Muratov
Inclusion between declarativeness and reality
On July 9, at a government session, the text of the Draft Law on Primary Education was adopted, which has been submitted for adoption in the Parliament. In the new draft law, a comprehensive strategy has been included that is focused on an inclusive education system for all students with disabilities.
It is very important for those who will be making the decisions in the following period to take into consideration all people with disabilities, and to make reasonable solutions that will be in favour, and not at harm, to those for whom these changes are actually intended for. In order to have inclusion in the true sense of the word, we must look at the strengths of people with disabilities, instead of their weaknesses, and depending on this, to determine which type of curriculum is best for each child separately.
