Reform processes and upcoming local elections in the focus of meeting between Dimitrov and Head of OSCE Mission Koja

Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Nikola Dimitrov today met with Head of the OSCE Mission, Ambassador Clemens Koja, with whom he discussed the current reform agenda in the context of the Europeanization process, the upcoming elections, the status of the digitalization project and the census process.

Deputy Prime Minister Dimitrov, as the Secretariat for European Affairs informed, stressed the role of the OSCE Mission in promoting democracy and strengthening the rule of law, especially through the monitoring of the election process and court proceedings.

– Europeanization of our society implies setting of an appropriate legal and institutional framework in key areas, but their implementation on the ground even more so, and precisely in that sense, the OSCE Mission is our important partner, said Dimitrov.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on the realization of the activities of the OSCE Mission in North Macedonia for the next period, with a special emphasis on areas that are priority goals in the “Agenda: Europe at home”. Ambassador Koja emphasized the importance of achieving continuous progress in the reform process.
