Reduced number of newly infected with KOVID-19, active around 5.500 cases

They were registered the previous day 82 cases from 1211 tests performed or 6,7 percent, which is a significant drop in newly infected from Kovid-19 compared to the previous days. According to the data of Institute of Public Health for the period from November 29 to December 5, the percentage of positivity ce ranged from 7,8 percent to 19 percent, averaging 13,1 percent. Eight deaths and 265 patients were registered.

Most of the newly infected ce from Skopje – 61, followed by Kavadarci – 9, then Gevgelija – 4, Bitola and Veles – 2 each, Prilep, Ohrid, Negotino and Valandovo – 1.

So far in the country ce performed a total of 1.503.941 tests on Covid-19. The total number of KOVID-diagnosed persons in our country since the beginning of the epidemic is 219.490, the number of cured patients is 206.211, the number of dead is 7.740, and the number of active cases is 5.539.

According to epidemiological analyzes at the moment, the most active cases are in Skopje – 2714, followed by Bitola with 457, Prilep – 336, Kavadarci – 251, Ohrid – 222. In other cities that number is below 200, and in Debar there are currently no active case.

In Debar There is growing interest, especially among the elderly population, in immunization with a third dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

– At the vaccination point, which operates in the modular hospital, a third daily dose ce applies to an average of 50 people from both municipalities, primarily the elderly and the chronically ill. Until = now with the third dose covered ce over 600 citizens, who are receiving “Pfizer” vaccine, Baki Alili, director of the Debar General Hospital with expanded activity, told MIA yesterday.

– This month we have no new cases of infected, and the two cases that were registered last month ce already recovered. The last in the list of healed is entered on the ninth of this month. “Since the beginning of the pandemic in the area of ​​the two municipalities, the dangerous virus has been diagnosed in 1.456 people, unfortunately over 80 of them have died,” Alili added.

The authorities are constantly appealing for more mass vaccination, because, as what they point out, just so will ce come to collective immunity and will ce prevent the spread of coronavirus mutations.

According to the latest data, so far 48% of the adult population is immunized.

No case of omicron infection has been registered in the country yet and the delta variant is still dominant.

Data from the Institute of Public Health show that in 2020 ce 83.734 cases of SARS-KOV-2 were registered, of which 2 ce deceased (3.47 percent). In 2021, as of December 7, registered ce 134 460 patients, of which 4 784 ce deceased (3.56 percent).

During the whole pandemic, from the first reported case of coronavirus infection in North Macedonia (February 26.02.2020, XNUMX), the largest number of new cases in one day ce registered on 30.03.2021 year, 1512, and most died in one day a week later – on 08.04.2021, 49 dead.
