Prime Minister Edi Rama, present at a regional conference on the energy crisis in Belgrade, said that it is necessary to regionalize the energy markets, Tiranapost.net informs.
“It is a great opportunity and a really necessary gathering in this war, when bombs and wounds hit somewhere in Ukraine, but the energy crisis and war inflation hit everywhere, when we launched the Open Balkans and when we pushed for wider cooperation . We need to regionalize our markets. As for energy, we need to go beyond our markets, otherwise we are still small markets. What we need may be more expensive. By acting at the regional level, we can have easier access to financing and we can have a much stronger partnership in the private sector. I strongly hope that this conversation will continue and that we will have our Norwegian partners with us to conceive a regional master plan and an investment roadmap.
