The Commission for Equal Opportunities for Women and Men will hold a session in the Parliament today. The only item on the agenda is the public debate on “Draft Strategy for Gender Equality 2021-2026”.
Addresses by the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jagoda Shahpaska, the Chairwoman of the Commission for Equal Opportunities for Women and Men Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, Ivona Paunovi–Bisevac from the UN Office for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) and Svetlana Cvetkovska from the Sector for Equal Opportunities at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
The Gender Equality Strategy is adopted over a period of six years and is the fourth strategic document in this area. The strategy establishes a comprehensive framework of activities to promote gender equality and the status of women.
