The Prime Minister Zoran Zaev announced on his Facebook profile that on this day October 11 – the Day of the People’s Uprising, the citizens of Kumanovo and Prilep, marked the beginning of the nationwide struggle for freedom and justice and began to realize the century-old dream – own and deserved statehood.
“With this great historical act, the inscription of the Macedonian state on the map of the nations of the world began. Macedonian statehood is rooted in the struggle for justice and equality. Foundations which are built by efforts and self-sacrifice of a huge number of generations.
Thanks to this defiance, today, the Republic of Northern Macedonia is an internationally recognized state with its own and allied army, state currency and all the postulates of statehood.
