The Macedonian civic organization Civil and the German youth4media will hold a press conference dedicated to disinformation and propaganda, tomorrow, Friday, December 9, at City Park Hotel (near the Municipality of Center) starting at 1.00 pm. The meeting with the media is part of the program of the first edition of the International week of journalism resilient to disinformation and propaganda. The international seminar “Resilient journalism in countering disinformation and propaganda”, in the practical work and production of which media professionals from North Macedonia, Germany, Armenia and Kosovo took part, was also part of the program during the past week.
The press conference is also being held on the occasion of International Human Rights Day (December 10), under the slogan Disinformation and propaganda violate human rights. Resist!
The press conference will be addressed by Xhabir Deralla from Civil and Dr. Wolfgang Ressman, head of the international project Media Dialogue. Katerina Sokolova from the Institute for journalism in Kyiv, Ukraine, Mkrtich Tonoyan, multimedia artist from Armenia, will also be available for statements. Like all other events of Civil, the event is open to all interested citizens.
