President Stevo Pendarovski held a meeting on Friday with Zef Mazi, Albania’s Chief Negotiator with the European Union, and talked about for North Macedonia and Albania’s perspectives for holding the first intergovernmental conferences with the EU and the official start of accession negotiations.
President Pendarovski, his office said in a press release, said that Mazi’s visit presents an excellent opportunity for holding discussions about the negotiations process at technical and political level, as well as for establishing prospects for future cooperation in the area.
Moreover, he praised Albania’s progress in key areas related to EU integration.
Pendarovski also expressed believes that the start of North Macedonia and Albania’s EU accession talks will have a positive impact on the stability and prosperity of the region and underlined expectations that the implementation of the new methodology will facilitate the negotiating process.
