Fourteen-year-old and older minors were handing out leaflets on Bitola’s pedestrian street Sirok Sokak today. Although no incidents were registered during this action, it could be noticed that these children were coordinated by older members of the ruling party, despite their attempts to present themselves as activists of civil society organizations.
The children that were involved in this party-political propaganda campaign did not have a written consent of their parents, and neither did the organizers have an explanation for the fact that minors were involved, without proper documentation, or parental consent.
CIVIL has many times alerted the public about the abuse of minors for political purposes.
