In the past 24 hours, 737 people were caught without personal protective equipment, i.e. face masks, the Ministry of Interior said Monday.
The Ministry urges citizens to comply with the Government measures and protocols on protection against COVID-19, the press release reads.
The Government and the Ministry of Health have started #НосамМаска [#WearAMask] campaign to support law and raise awareness about the importance of complying with the measures and recommendations of the Commission for Infectious Diseases in the fight against COVID-19.
The campaign is supported and will be promoted by all officials, members and supporters.
“Our goal is to raise awareness about the importance of protection against coronavirus. Wearing protective masks outdoors and indoors is a generally accepted protection measure across Europe. It is for now the simplest and the safest action to fight against the pandemic,” the Health Ministry said.
