Prime Minister Zoran Zaev told a Government session on Tuesday that he has accepted the proposal of Deputy PM for fight against corruption and crime, sustainable development and human resources Ljupcho Nikolovski to recommend to the Management Board of the National Agency for European Educational Programmes and Mobility to dismiss director Lidija Dimova for unethical activities related to improper financial operations and neglect of the institution’s public image.
This procedure is taken in accordance with Article 23 of the Code of Ethics, according to which the Prime Minister can ask for political responsibility, i.e. motion for dismissal, while taking all actions to guarantee the principle of presumption of innocence, the Government said in a press release.
Pece Mircheski has been re-appointed director of the Government’s Service for General and Common Affairs, while Lirim Shabani will assume the post of director of the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices.
In addition, the Government appointed Minister of Culture Irena Stefoska as chair of the National Commission for UNESCO of North Macedonia.
