Prime Minister Zoran Zaev met Monday with United States President Joseph Biden at the sidelines of the NATO Summit and invited him to visit North Macedonia, MIA reports from Brussels.
PM Zaev had a brief but important meeting with President Biden, who offered encouraging messages and said he would visit the Western Balkans.
“I had an chance to talk to President Biden, primarily about energy ties through the Alexandroupoli project, a joint US-Greek-Macedonian project, but we also discussed his visit to the Western Balkans, I used the opportunity to invite him for a visit, of course he responded positively, saying he is familiar with the region, has worked in the Western Balkans, and a visit the area would be on his agenda. He also congratulated North Macedonia on its NATO membership,” Zaev told MIA.
