Prime Minister Zoran Zaev sees no reason for a leaders’ meeting after Tuesday’s Facebook post of VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski.
PM Zaev told a press conference he intended to initiate a leaders’ meeting in order to brief parties on the situation with Bulgaria, but sees no reason for it after Mickoski’s Facebook post that the meeting would discuss a technical government, the incapable health system, the failure with Bulgaria etc.
“Why should I schedule this meeting? I do not agree with any of these claims, because the Government has shown how to build friendship and continues to do so. It has shown that the red lines cannot be trampled because of any interest. Regretfully, we did not get the intergovernmental conference, but I believe we will shortly, because we fully deserve it. Twenty-six member-states stand fully behind our positions. We are successfully managing the health crisis, on equal footing, even better than many other countries,” said Zaev.
