North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski and other Balkan leaders will visit on Tuesday the LNG terminal in Alexandroupolis, Greece.
The visit is taking place at the invitation of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, MIA’s Athens correspondent reports. The Greek PM stressed on Friday the importance of the terminal, adding that it will help diversify natural gas supply sources, not only in Greece, but also the region.
“On Tuesday, together with other Balkan leaders, I will be in Alexandroupolis at the new terminal for storage and gasification of liquefied natural gas – a very important infrastructure project which in combination with other initiatives and in less than 20 months, will give us the opportunity to fully diversify our natural gas supply sources, not only to our country, but also the entire Balkan,” said Mitsotakis.
