The visit to Skopje was a huge success, assessed Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov in the National Assembly following the swearing in ceremony of Rumen Radev and Iliana Yotova for second term as President and Vice President of Bulgaria.
As MIA correspondent from Sofia reported, according to the Bulgarian Prime Minister, on the one hand, a hand was extended by going to Skopje, and on the other hand, North Macedonia sent a note that Bulgaria has been waiting for two years.
– This note says that the Republic of North Macedonia has no claims to the territorial integrity of Bulgaria. This is something very normal, they say, but this note has been talked about and negotiated, and now we received it because we made a new approach. Here it should be understood that yesterday’s visit was a huge success, said Prime Minister Petkov.
Also important, according to Petkov, is that during the visit an agreement was reached for an airline route from Sofia to Skopje.
