Bulgaria’s former Prime Minister and We Continue the Change party co-chairman Kiril Petkov is suing GERB leader and former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov for his recent defamatory statements, MIA’s Sofia correspondent reports.

Petkov has filed a 250,000 euro defamation lawsuit. He said Borissov was a “proven liar” and kept saying “lies about intermediaries, commission fees and other defamatory statements” about Petkov.

Commenting on the Sofia Administrative Court ruling that the order for the March 17 arrest of Borissov was illegal, Petkov said many people were disappointed that Borissov was still at large.
