Perspectives 2021 – Besa Arifi: In 2021, justice and the judiciary should be a priority

Dec 25, 2020 | NEWSROOM

University professor Besa Arifi for Perspectives 2021, with her view on the trends and recommendations that she thinks could be in the next year.

– We were part of a series of decisions that were of a political nature, and sometimes they knew how to enter the legal priorities which were not worked on, but we could not expect results in terms of those political obligations that the state had, especially until the membership in NATO, as well as other developments on the road to the European Union. I think that when the crisis with Covid – 19 is brought under control, in 2021 justice should already be a priority, to establish justice for past cases, which I still do not see as having a final end, but also to open and end the topics that have been talked about for a long time, and move on to the practical implementation of those commitments, which are related to justice and the judiciary.
