President Stevo Pendarovski welcomed the President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, at a ceremony of the highest state and military honors, which began her official visit to the Republic of North Macedonia.
According to the Presidential press office, after the tete-a-tete meeting between President Pendarovski and President Zourabichvili, the official representatives of Georgia and North Macedonia are to sign an agreement to waive visas between the countries. They will also sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Georgia’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth.
President Pendarovski and President Zourabichvili will then lay wreaths at the grave of Goce Delchev at St. Spas Church.
The talks are focused on bilateral relations between North Macedonia and Georgia and ways to promote them; EU and NATO integration; regional issues; and the Covid-19 pandemic, the press release says.
Later today, Georgia’s President will meet with Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi and with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Political System and Relations Between Communities, Artan Grubi.
