President Stevo Pendarovski sent his best wishes on the great Christian holiday, the Assumption of the Mother of God, to all Orthodox believers in North Macedonia, writes MIA.
“May good health, joy and happiness surround you on this holiday dedicated to the Holy Mother of God. It is this very holiday, The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, better known among the people as the Great Mother of God, being one of several holidays dedicated to the Mother of God, that has the long and rich tradition of gatherings and celebrations,” President Pendarovski says.
At these gatherings, he adds, people share food, kind words, attention and love. “Given all the trials we face, let’s be inspired by this great holiday and remain united, together in solidarity and care for our neighbors. Only in this way can we overcome all crises and temptations. May the prayers to the Most Holy Mother of God warm our hearts and ennoble us with humility, spirituality and faith in the future,” Pendarovski says.
