The global pandemic should not be an obstacle for further enhancement of economic and trade relations, and mutual support and cooperation in EU integration and reform processes, said President Stevo Pendarovski at a meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, who is paying an official visit to North Macedonia on Friday.
Pendarovski and Hoti exchanged opinions on current developments in both countries, European perspective of the Western Balkans and measures undertaken in the fight against the COVID-19 crisis, the President’s Office said in a press release.
Pendarovski expressed belief that excellent bilateral relations would continue to develop in the spirit of good-neighborliness and reaffirmed through specific initiatives, contributing to a prosperous and stable region.
Interlocutors exchanged opinions on the possibilities for strengthening of bilateral and regional economic cooperation and more intensive communication between the countries’ business communities.
In addition, Pendarovski welcomed the agreement on economic normalization of Kosovo-Serbia relations signed in Washington as a step forward in reaching a final compromise, which would contribute to regional stability, reads the press release.
