The Parliament adopted late Tuesday the Budget review by 55 “Yes” votes, 24 abstentions and none against.
The second Budget review incorporates funds for realization of the fourth set of anti-crisis measures worth EUR 470 million in support for the citizens and the economy in managing the effects of the COVID-19 health and economic crisis.
The Budget review is expected to save 83,000 jobs through support to the payment of salaries in October, November and December, about 283,000 citizens will receive EUR 100-worth payment cards, while companies affected by the crisis will be supported through grants, interest-free loans and tax exemptions.
Total Budget revenues are projected at Mden 196,3 billion (EUR 3,18 billion) while expenditures at Mden 252,8 billion (EUR 4,1 billion). The deficit stands at Mden 56,5 billion (EUR 916 million), i.e. 8.49 percent of the GDP.
