Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani is taking part at the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers in Brussels on Tuesday, in light of the first anniversary from North Macedonia’s Alliance membership.
“Being on equal terms with the most powerful countries in the world is not only a personal satisfaction but a pride of all citizens. It is not only a symbolic difference but the essence of our progress as a country: instead of learning about the discussions from our colleagues, we are now present at the table, taking part and presenting our positions on global developments,” said FM Osmani.
Osmani said the NATO membership has not only changed North Macedonia’s role on the international political and security arena, but strengthened the Alliance’s role in the region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
“‘We are NATO’ is no longer a slogan but a reality – we are truly NATO. Be proud, we are making our future history, realizing the dream of many generations before us, creating a safe, stable and prosperous future for future generations,” concluded Osmani.
The meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers is taking place at the Alliance HQ in Brussels on March 23-24.
