The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani said that the constitutional changes should be discussed at the Parliament as soon as possible. I am appealing for a national consensus regarding European issues and for reaching an agreement between all political parties that we will not have differences on European issues, whoever is in power, added Osmani.
Osmani at a press briefing highlighted that EU regulations and directives must be accepted by whoever is in power, MIA reported.
It is wrong to think that we are negotiating with the European Union. The regulations and directives are established. You must accept them as they are to become a member. Regardless of whether SDSM is in power or DUI or VMRO, no one has the opportunity to change anything in the negotiations with the European Union. The only thing that can change is the dynamics of delivery and acceptance, emphasized Osmani.
He added that if there is no difference, then why don’t we leave this topic aside, in the interest of citizens who want the EU on both sides of the political stage. We have enough other topics to discuss, said Osmani.
