Things are not going in the direction of a successful completion of the elections, we are heading towards a political crisis that we will see how we are going to resolve”, assessed analyst Saso Ordanoski at the Conference “Like – elections – like future”
“Up to now, there is no public opinion poll in which the opposition wins at the elections, from “Republika”, which is considered close to the opposition, Pendarovski leads with 2 percent. If this inertia continues, we will face a situation when the opposition will have to decide what to do in the second round, as it will face numbers in the very first round that it will not like” – considers Ordanoski.
The opposition, according to Ordanoski, will be faced with a dilemma whether to vote in the second round and it legitimize the elections, which would be very virtuous, or it will decide “to save its skin and play in the interest of the one sitting in Budapest”.
“If you ask me, I think it will be saving its skin. Whether there will be minor incidents, or it will be a boycott, with which it will be difficult to reach a census. This means that Macedonia immediately enters a crisis, and we will have to see the attitude of the international community, which I don’t believe will interfere in fixing the situation, and from which it will be necessary to come out of with negotiations”, considers Ordanoski, who asses that by this, great damage will be caused both on the legal state, and even more on the EU negotiations.
