As Ukraine ends its third year of full-scale resistance against Russian aggression, the global struggle for democracy, justice, and truth has never been more urgent. On March 4, 2025, prominent international experts, policymakers, journalists, and civil society leaders gathered for an online conference titled Ukraine and the World: Resisting Aggression, Defeating Authoritarianism.
The conference is organized by CIVIL – Center for Freedom (North Macedonia), Media Dialogue, and Youth4Media (Germany), New European People’s Forum (international), founding members of the #DefendingDemocracy Initiative (international).

This live-streamed event explores key issues shaping the future of Ukraine and the broader global response to wars of aggression, and authoritarian threats, disinformation, and hybrid warfare. The discussions emphasizes Ukraine’s stance for the necessity of a just peace—one that includes the full liberation of all occupied territories since 2014—and the unwavering support Ukraine requires from the international community to achieve victory and long-term security.
