Of the 2,780 SARS-CoV-2 tests done in North Macedonia’s laboratories Friday through Sunday, 151 came back positive for the virus, MIA informs.
Of them, 17 were confirmed reinfections. And no deaths have been reported over the weekend, health authorities said Monday.
According to the Ministry of Health citing Institute of Public Health data, there are now 508 active SARS-CoV-2 cases nationwide, of which 317 in Skopje.
Officially, 184 people recovered from their acute COVID-19 infection over the weekend. Of the new SARS-CoV-2 infections, 95 were diagnosed in Skopje. New coronavirus cases were also diagnosed in Bitola – 18, Ohrid – 8, Kumanovo and Shtip – 5 each, Prilep and Tetovo – 3 each, Kichevo, Sveti Nikole, and Delchevo – 2 each, and Kavadarci, Veles, Kochani, Gevgelija, Negotino, Radovish, Debar, and Makedonski Brod – one new case in each town.
Since the start of the pandemic, 9,297 people have died from COVID-19 in North Macedonia. The country’s health authorities have performed a total of 2,046,474 coronavirus tests, officially logging 311,350 SARS-CoV-2 cases and declaring 301,545 recoveries.
