The government at its Tuesday’s session adopted a report on the deployment of foreign armed forces on the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia to participate in the Joint Combined Exercise Training – 23, writes news agency MIA.
According to the government press release, the joint training and exercise “Joint Combined Exercise Training – 23” is part of the Bilateral Cooperation Plan for 2023 between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of North Macedonia and the United States Department of Defence.
The special forces of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia with 12 members will actively participate in preparing and conducting the joint training and exercise “Joint Combined Exercise Training – 23” on the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia from August 20 to September 1.
Moreover, 10 members of the special forces of the armed forces of the United States and 12 members of the armed forces of the Republic of Albania, with armament, equipment, motor vehicles and material and technical resources, will also take part in the exercise.
The location for participating in the exercise will be the training areas and shooting ranges in the “Ilinden” barracks in Skopje, “Strasho Pindzur” barracks in Petrovec and “Gjorche Petrov” barracks in Skopje.
