We’ve already submitted an application to procure an appropriate amount of COVID-19 vaccine doses through the COVAX mechanism, Health Minister Venko Filipche said on Wednesday.
North Macedonia, the Minister added, in line with immunization committee recommendations, has applied for 800,000 doses of the two-shot vaccine.
“Our application was approved yesterday. The first vaccine available on the market will be equally distributed to countries that applied for it via the COVAX mechanism. This means that the vaccine will be available in North Macedonia at the same it it becomes available in developed countries,” Filipche told reporters at the opening of production plant of NYSK Holdings, the first Macedonian company licensed to cultivate medical cannabis.
