The North Macedonia Day took place within Dubai EXPO 2020 on Tuesday, attended by a Government delegation led by Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi, also including Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Naser Nuredini, MIA informs.
Deputy PM Bytyqi said in his remarks that EXPO symbolizes respect and embraces diversity through promotion and living in motion, cohesion, integration, cooperation and vision.
“We have the entire world gathered in one place, and this is a unique opportunity to learn about each other and from one another, use our unique advantages in order to grow together in solidarity. We will continue to build resilience in the post-COVID-19 period through empathy,” added Bytyqi.
According to him, the Government is focused on integration and building partnerships, whereas the country’s NATO membership has brought added security and stability.
“While we are moving on the EU integration path, we have achieved significant progress in the implementation of European standards in our country and met benchmarks related to digitization, regional cooperation and partnership, fair investment opportunities, large infrastructure, while being committed to meeting the sustainable development goals by increasing the awareness on environment protection,” said Bytyqi.
Ensemble “Orce Nikolov” followed the Deputy PM’s address, presenting the country’s long-standing folk dance tradition.
