At the proposal of the Ministry of Education and Science, at today’s meeting of the GKKS, which was led by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, it was assessed that conditions have been created for the start of the new school year to be with physical presence of students, except for certain exceptions that will be strictly indicated in the Decision that will be adopted at the next government session.
The great number of vaccinated teachers and school staff (currently 60 percent are vaccinated, and an increase up to 80% vaccinated of the total number of employees in schools is expected until September) according to GKKS, contributes to the decision for the start of the school year to be with physical presence.
In this direction are also the protocols, developed by epidemiologists, which have already been adopted for classes with physical presence and refer to wearing of masks and regular ventilation of premises where classes are held.
At the meeting, it was concluded that the vaccination continues in kindergartens for employees and other staff, while the current percentage is 60%.
