9,360 doses of the Pfizer vaccine arrived in North Macedonia on Monday, of which 4,680 procured directly from the COVID-19 vaccine maker, the Ministry of Health said on Tuesday.
According to the contract, the press release read, Pfizer is set to deliver between 5,000 ad 7,000 vaccine doses to North Macedonia each Monday, for a total of 26,000 jabs over the course of the month.
The other 4,680 Pfizer shots were procured via trilateral agreements within the Team Europe program. A total of 19,890 vaccine doses are set to be delivered to North Macedonia through the Austrian-coordinated Western Balkans vaccine supply support program.
The Health Ministry underlined that Monday’s batch is the second of the series. EU assistance for North Macedonia consists of a total of 119,213 vaccines.
