Parliament on Wednesday passed several draft-decisions and an amendment to a bill in connection to the fourth stimulus package as part of the 39th session.
At the start of the session, Parliament passed 92-0 the decision declaring state of crisis in parts of the country due to a high risk of rising attempts by migrants to enter and transit the country and as a way to protect public health in the midst of a pandemic.
MPs also backed two decisions on sending servicemen to take part in the UN-led international operation in Lebanon.
They voted in favor of amending the law on financial support of low-income citizens, pension beneficiaries, single parents, children without parents, artists, filmmakers, entertainers and freelancers, which was envisaged as part of the fourth stimulus package.
Furthermore, Parliament passed a decision appointing chairperson, vice president, members and deputy members of the National EU Integration Council and a proposal on naming members of the National Council for Higher Education.
An amendment to the law on healthcare protection, in fast-tracked procedure, was also included in the agenda of today’s 39th session.
Elaborating the amendment, Health Minister Venko Filipche said the law limits how much patients should pay for treatment in private hospital. The limitations are in line with the prices of the Health Insurance Fund packages paid to healthcare institutions.
Under the proposed law, public healthcare staff is banned to be transferred to private hospitals during a pandemic and the resources of private health institutions in the midst of a state of crisis are at the disposal to the state for free.
