As of today, 227,963 citizens have received one Covid-19 vaccine dose in the country and 54,600 citizens have received two, according to the Ministry of Health on Thursday.
On Wednesday, 11,104 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 nationwide. Of them, 3,278 received their first vaccine dose.
The mass vaccination program against Covid-19 is based on the National Immunization Plan, prioritizing seniors and frontline workers.
The latest figures show that 46 percent of the population over 70 and 40 percent of the population over 65 have received at least one vaccine dose.
In addition to the country’s largest mass vaccination site at the Skopje Boris Trajkovski Sports Arena, vaccination sites are open in Kavadarci, Kumanovo, Tetovo, Shtip, Bitola, Strumica, Ohrid, Veles, and Prilep.
The Ministry of Health urges citizens to apply for their coronavirus shot appointment at vakcinacija.mk. So far, over 425,422 citizens have applied for vaccination via the website, the release adds.
