Over the past 24 hours, 50 people were admitted to Skopje’s covid centers for coronavirus-related complications and 36 were discharged from hospital to recover at home. This brings the number of patients hospitalized with coronavirus to 699 in Skopje and 1,021 nationwide. Many are on oxygen, according to the Ministry of Health on Monday.
The total of coronavirus hospitalizations in North Macedonia’s infectious disease units is 1,720 at the moment.
Over the past 24 hours, 32 people were admitted to the Mother Teresa State Clinical Center clinics. Seven people were admitted to the covid center within the September 8th City General Hospital, and two to the Clinic for Infectious Diseases. No new patients were admitted to the Kozle Institute of Respiratory Diseases in Children. Six were admitted to the Clinic for Pediatric Diseases, and four to the Institute for Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy.
Currently hospitalized at the Mother Teresa State Clinical Center clinics are 315 people. A total of 140 people infected with the coronavirus are treated at the September 8th hospital; 154 at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases; 40 at the Kozle Institute of Respiratory Diseases in Children; nine at the Clinic for Pediatric Diseases; and five at the Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics. There are 35 patients hospitalized for coronavirus-related complications at the Institute for Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy.
According to the latest press release, there were 60 hospital beds available in Skopje and 230 nationwide until Monday at 8 am. More beds are expected to become available during the day as recovered patients are discharged.
The Ministry of Health notes that all state covid centers have enough oxygen for people who need to be on oxygen support, and hospital capacities, if necessary, can be increased to admit more coronavirus patients.
