The Ministry of Health said Wednesday that a total of 1,641 COVID-19 patients are being treated in hospitals in North Macedonia.
A total of 689 confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients are being treated at the infectious disease wards in the hospitals in the capital, and 952 in COVID centers across the rest of the country.
Sixty-eight confirmed coronavirus patients have been admitted in the COVID centers in Skopje due to virus complications over the past 24 hours.
In addition, 64 recovered patients were discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours.
The number of hospital admissions over the past days remains stable and according to the Ministry of Health’s press release, there were 90 hospital beds available in Skopje and 380 nationwide until Wednesday morning.
More beds are expected to become available during the day as recovered patients are discharged.
All state centers have enough oxygen for patients who need it and hospital capacities, if necessary, can be increased to admit more coronavirus patients, the release adds.
