The fact that the seven patients with the Delta variant were not vaccinated once again reaffirms the need for citizens to get vaccinated as soon as possible, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday.
The Ministry says vaccination is the only way to prevent the spread of the Delta variant in the country and a possible new strong wave of the virus.
“The Delta variant is present in about 100 countries worldwide and we are no exception. The epidemiological situation in the country is currently calm but we are monitoring and analyzing developments on a daily basis. Still, the Delta variant has high transmissibility and it is therefore important for citizens to get vaccinated,” reads the press release.
The ministry notes that all official reports from international health institutions and expert analyses point to the fact that vaccination is the only way to stop the spread of the Delta variant or any other SarsCov2 variants.
“Every vaccine is efficient and protects from a severe form of the disease, complications or fatal outcome. The vaccines are safe, effective and the only way to maintain the stability of the situation. As of Monday (July 12), vaccination across the country will not require an appointment, whereas field vaccination will be launched in parallel. Therefore, vaccines will be available to everyone, everywhere,” adds the press release.
