Former director of the Administration for Security and Counterintelligence Sasho Mijalkov reported to the Struga prison on Monday to serve his three-year prison sentence in the ‘Empire’ case trial, sources from the Department for the Execution of Sanctions told MIA.
Previously, Mijalkov struck a deal with the prosecution for undeclared property in the case, after which he changed his home address from Skopje to Ohrid.
This allowed him to serve his sentence in the Struga prison, which is an open jail. Inmates in the Struga prison are allowed to leave during the day. They only have to stay there overnight.
