As 2025 draws to a close, CIVIL marks the end of this turbulent year with one more contribution to the public record:

Throughout the year, CIVIL worked across multiple fronts — from field monitoring and early warning, to international dialogue and strategic reflection. This included organizing, hosting, or co-hosting international events in Skopje, Rome, and London, as well as publishing the global strategic roadmap Defending Democracy and Human Rights: Report and Policy Recommendations [LINK].

This final publication of the year is not a conclusion, but a reminder: that democratic backsliding, institutional failure, and the erosion of trust do not pause for holidays or calendars — and neither should civic attention.

This is not a year-end summary. It is a year-end marker.
This is not a celebration of closure, but a refusal of complacency.
