We call on the European Union to make a decision on the first intergovernmental conference with Northern Macedonia and Albania as soon as possible and to start negotiations as soon as possible so that we can give better results and more efficient reforms in a short time, said today Justice Minister Bojan Maricic. of Ministers of Justice EU – Western Balkans in Brdo near Kranj, Republic of Slovenia.
According to Maricic, the event in this format, where the ministers of justice and interior from the Western Balkans and the representatives of the European Union work together, is the right way to open important issues and exchange experience between these two factors and how to more easily we make plans for quick reforms.
-We cover three important topics: rule of law, education in the judiciary and digitalization in the judiciary. All these three topics are a priority of the Government of the Republic of Northern Macedonia and that is why we are happy that we can contribute to this discussion and that we can learn from other colleagues to know how better and faster to make reforms. We make the reforms for us, above all for our citizens for our benefit, but still the framework in which they should take place faster and more efficiently and better are the negotiations for membership in the European Union, said Maricic.
