The digitalization of the judiciary is entering the final phase and ICT equipping of the courts will begin soon across the country, Justice Minister Bojan Marichikj said Friday at the 14th meeting of the Western Balkans Working Group on Justice (WGJ).
Marichikj also referred to the importance and benefits of digitalization in the Western Balkans in facilitating and improving access to justice for citizens across the region.
“The joint digital strategy of the Western Balkan countries will accelerate EU accession bids. The strategy is to bring about faster changes in the rule of law, to help create a functioning market structure in the region and to encourage the modernization of the administration and society,” Marichikj noted.
Today’s meeting of the working group composed of representatives of the Ministries of Justice from the Western Balkans aims to deepen regional cooperation in connecting the region, exchange experiences and support the digitalization process, which is crucial, especially on the path to European integration.
