POLITICALLY OK CORALL: Everyone has the right to complain, the question is how to handle those complaints
Aside from the complains, what about the Voters Register? There are phantoms, there aren’t phantoms, how many people who will turn 18 on the day of the voting are on the Voters Register, with what kind of bullets will the diaspora be targeting, especially the most patriotic one, if they are not enabled to vote?
FLASH: Where should duels of political leaders be held?
The Macedonian Radio Television belongs to all citizens, it has both the social function and the resources, more than enough, to be a space for political duals and debates in the election process.
STATEMENT OF THE DAY: Derkoski: There will be no elections in the diaspora unless more than 6.540 citizens register to vote
“If our fellow citizens from the diaspora want to participate in the political life of the country, they must do this through active participation in the elections, that is, they need to register and vote, otherwise they will not be able to complain about a situation, because they have not contributed with their vote in these elections. I hope that the number will be fulfilled, namely, the number should be as low as the MP with the lowest number of votes in the last elections, and that is 6.540 votes received by the MP in Electoral Unit 6. A larger number than this need to register in order for the SEC to conduct elections, if not, there will be no elections in the diaspora”, said Oliver Derkoski, President of the SEC.
NOT LESS IMPORTANT
SDSM and BESA determined the joint candidate lists today.
“The occasion for today’s working meeting is operationalization of our coalition cooperation according to the signed agreement, and in the focus of the program offer for the upcoming parliamentary elections. The first pre-election coalition between a Macedonian and Albanian political party is a logical continuation of all recent political efforts for overcoming the concept of divisions along ethnic lines on the account of creating solid foundations for SDSM’s new political platform for building “one society for all”, stated Ljupco Nikolovski, Secretary General of SDSM.
“With every new meeting of ours, we are even more confident that this is a winning coalition and will bring new quality in the relations between the bigger Macedonian and Albanian communities, as well as other ethnic communities in our society. Both in terms of the program and staff, this coalition is reaching out to the citizens with a new offer that is in the interest of all citizens”, said Arjanit Hoxha, General Secretary of BESA.

The vetting as an extraordinary measure will create extraordinary problems, especially since in our country it was announced in the pre-election context, unclearly defined, and that is why we cannot speak of the results. Experiences from the region point to the need for special attentiveness and a comprehensive debate for the vetting process, whereas for the experts a better solution for our circumstances is checking the integrity and capacity through the existing institutions.
These are the recommendations from the policy dialogue “Vetting – imposed or possible option for Republic of North Macedonia” that was held today in Skopje, organized by the European Policy Institute-Skopje (EPI).

The Hungarian finance operations in Slovenian and Macedonian media are on the agenda of MEPs. Next Wednesday at a plenary session, the European Parliament will debate about the “Hungarian interference” in the media in Slovenia and North Macedonia. The information was confirmed by Slovenian MEP, Irena Joveva, on her Twitter today.
In a written reply to MIA’s questions, Joveva explains that according to findings from the Slovenian web portal “Unsensored.si”, MEPs will ask the European Commission to answer these allegations.
“According to the documents published on the portal, in these past years the Hungarian political leadership, through one of its banks and helpers in Slovenia, has been conducting a major international political-media operation in North Macedonia, all with the purpose to topple the government there, as well as the agreement for the country’s NATO accession, with Hungarian media owners close to the Slovenian party SDS, which at that time were financed by those companies close to Viktor Orban, allegedly having the key role in this operation”, explains Joveva.

CIVIL ACTIVITIES:
CIVIL’s call for short-term observers is ongoing
Given the great interest, as well as the opportunities to increase the size of the election monitoring, CIVIL invites all of its members, supporters and participants of seminars on citizen journalism, observers of previous elections, as well as all interested citizens to apply for short-term election observers.
In the process of selection of observers, as always, CIVIL’s members and supporters, former observers, as well as those who have participated in seminars on citizen journalism, have an advantage.
The two most successful observers from the monitoring teams in these elections will be offered engagement in the area of monitoring and promotion of the “Europe is our home” project until the end of January 2021.
CIVIL’s observers, as well as all interested citizens, always have the opportunity to become part of CIVIL’s projects, especially the “Civic Lenses” project.
CIVIL’s monitoring implies mobility, dedication and impartiality. The short-term observers are active during election silence, on election day and a day afterwards.
Officials and activists of political parties do not have the right to participate in this call. It is also not allowed for one to be an observer of two organizations at the same time.

“However, the virus has imposed the need for a debate to be urgently opened on how, in a world of rapid global changes and impacts, with all sorts of ‘pandemics’, to more quickly introduce advanced solutions on digital education, on distance learning, on how to put artificial intelligence and other solutions of the modern technology in the function of curricula methods with which the physical presence of young people in the educational institutions will not be mandatory, from beginning to end… In other words, is there place for a formally recognized education in the “virtual reality” of the Internet, where young people, in one way or another, spend five-ten hours a day?”, writes Saso Ordanoski in today’s column “The dogs bark but the virus moves on, the caravan has left”.
