NEWS OF THE DAY: Party leaders today at coordination meeting with Spasovski
Leaders of SDSM, VMRO-DPMNE, DUI, BESA, DPA, Alliance and Alternative today at 1.00 pm, as announced by the Government, had a coordination meeting with Prime Minister Oliver Spasovski in relation to the implementation of the government measures for responding to the coronavirus outbreak.
“There is nothing more important than the health of the citizens. And in that direction, I have requested consent that was accepted in that it is necessary for everyone to show responsibility
and to behave responsibly”, stated Technical Prime Minister Oliver Spasovski, following the meeting.
Spasovski stressed that everyone should show responsibility in the situation, including the private sector.

The Social Democratic Union will respect the recommendations and measures of the Government for responding to the coronavirus outbreak and will carry out its pre-election activities through the media, social networks and through live streaming, said today the leader of the party, Zoran Zaev, after the leaders’ meeting in the Government convened at the request of Prime Minister Oliver Spasovski.
“The health of the citizens is the highest priority for all institutions and political subjects. Health should be above everything else for everyone”, stated Zaev.

Chronically ill patients will be able to go to their family doctor instead of a specialist in order to continue their treatment, as an additional measure that will not apply for newly diagnosed patients.

Of the nine patients who have coronavirus and are hospitalized at the Infectious Disease Clinic, six are in a stable condition, while three have slight worsening of their condition, meaning they have more difficulty breathing, but that respiratory support is still not needed and treatment is intensified.

Fifty respiratory machines, additional protection equipment, 100 new tests and two mobile X-ray machines (in order for patients not to have to go to the X-ray Institute) will be procured, stated Minister Venko Filipce.

Following the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, and with the purpose of greater protection of parties in the proceedings, the Ministry of Justice recommends continuation of court proceedings with increased level of caution.

The Coordination Body for preparation and monitoring of the implementation of the National strategy for development of the concept one society for all and interculturalism 2020-2022 within the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, concluded a Memorandum of cooperation with the Nansen Dialogue Centre Skopje.
