A 56-year-old man was arrested in Bitola on suspicion of sending threatening letters to the Chief Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski, the Chief Prosecutor for Organised Crime and Corruption Vilma Ruskoska and to a foreign embassy to Skopje.
Criminal charges have already been brought against him for committing criminal offence of sending threatening letters. According to police, the man wrote letters at home, and then went to Prilep to send them by mail.
On Dec. 11, 2021, the suspect S.Z. mailed threatening letter to a foreign embassy in Skopje, while on Dec 20 and 21, 2021, a threatening letter was sent to Chief Prosecutor for Organised Crime Vilma Ruskoska.
Moreover, he also sent death threat letter to Chief Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski on Jan. 17, 2022. Chief Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski has received a death threat concerning a case, closed in December 2021. The death threat, written in both Macedonian and English, was sent by “a terrorist organization fighting against and killing for injustice,” said the Public Prosecutor’s Office on Jan. 27. Sent by mail, the death threat arrived at the prosecutor’s office.
