LIVESTREAMED: International conference “Defending Democracy and Human Rights in the Face of War, Nationalism, and Authoritarianism”

Skopje, North Macedonia – The international conference Defending Democracy and Human Rights in the Face of War, Nationalism, and Authoritarianism took place on December 11-12, 2024, bringing together experts, policymakers, civil society leaders, and journalists from 11 countries, including the Western Balkans, Europe, and USA.

This vital event addressed critical threats to democracy, including the impact of war, the rise of nationalism, and the spread of authoritarianism. Speakers, and attendees explored strategies to safeguard democratic institutions and uphold human rights in these challenging times.

The conference was live-streamed in three languages, beginning on December 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM CET.

The two-day event featured:
