CIVIL is organizing a public event (panel discussion) on the topic “How equal are we?” dedicated to policies and practices for equality, non-discrimination and promotion of European values in the local self-government units on June 17, tomorrow (Thursday), at the City Park Hotel, with beginning at 1 p.m. The event lasts 45 to 60 minutes.
The mayor of the municipality of Gostivar, Arben Taravari, will participate as a speaker at the event. The event will be moderated by Diana Tahiri from CIVIL.
The main issue of the panel discussion refers to the capacities, opportunities, policies and practices at local level in promoting European values, and within that framework, equality, non-discrimination at local level.
The event will be broadcast live on the Facebook page and on the video channel of CIVIL, and will be held without an audience. The presence of TV crews is allowed, with strict adherence to the protocols for protection against Covid-19.
The working language of the event is in Macedonian but all materials will then be available in Macedonian, Albanian and English.
The panel is part of the project “European Perspectives” which CIVIL is implementing with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany from April 1 this year.
